St. James's Palace meet up

I have been to London now and then, but after 8 years I finally managed to visit the St. James's Palace in London!

I didn't know the building when I chose a photograph from a free texture library, but I liked it and decided to model it just for practice. It was in 2008 when I started to learn the basics of Autodesk Maya.

Somehow this circumstance lead to a personal connection to this building. It's not really a beauty and all pedestrians I saw simply passed by, but the north front of the domicile had won my affection.

Unfortunately, I have only screenshots from the Learning Edition left with watermarks. However, I'm glad I was able to touch the original stones after I virtually bricked them in my early 20s.
